Me and Ha'atafu Beach, Tonga

Me and Ha'atafu Beach, Tonga
This is at a little surfing resort on the western side of Tonga. We took a bus from town and hitch-hiked back. I sort of surfed but mostly wiped out a whole bunch of times. I was a little too daring and glad I survived the trip actually. I think this was my second weekend in Tonga.

Visit to southern island, 'Eua

Visit to southern island, 'Eua
This is the small plane I took to visit my uncle in 'Eua. 'Eua is six minutes south of the main island by plane, two hours by boat.

Lakufa'anga Cliffs - 'Eua

Lakufa'anga Cliffs - 'Eua
I visited the cliffs with Uncle Uepi and Longolongo my first Monday in Tonga. Man, so beautiful. We also visited the plantations that Uepi works on. There were at least 3 different fields.

Greeted at the airport by Uncles, Longo and Uepi

Greeted at the airport by Uncles, Longo and Uepi
I did not know that my uncles were going to be at the airport. Neither did they know that I was coming to Tonga. This was a treat to run into them on my first moments in Tonga.

It's Tonga

It's Tonga
This may have been my second or first weekend in Tonga. It was unreal to be swimming in the Pacific Ocean looking back to the shore and not seeing California, but Tonga. Beautiful, green Tonga.
